State law now requires employers, including restaurants, to facilitate CalSavers – a payroll deduction individual retirement account (IRA), with no employer fees – if they do not offer a retirement plan. Compliance deadlines for employers with fifty or more employees has already passed and employers with five or more employees will need to comply by June 2022.
